In time the caterpillar will grow
to be 2 to 2.25 inches long.
When the caterpillar is full grown,
it lays down a mat of silk. In the center of the mat it creates
a tiny, white silk button. The caterpillar above is preparing
its silk on a piece of glass. We are looking through the surface
from which it will hang.
