What Leading
Monarch Scientists and Educators Are Saying About
My Monarch Investigations
"This book, with
its clear but open-ended guidance for student inquiry, will
be an amazing tool for teachers and parents who raise monarchs
in their classrooms and homes. The beautiful drawings and
photographs illustrate important concepts captivatingly
and clearly; children will love becoming scientists as they
observe and study their monarchs."
Dr.
Karen Oberhauser
Director, Monarchs in the Classroom Program
University of Minnesota Department of Ecology
"This wonderful
journal introduces you to two things, the basic investigative
steps of science and the life history and annual cycle of
the monarch butterfly. Once you are really familiar with
the monarch you are investigating, just imagine each day
of its two month journey to Mexico. Think of the country
it crosses, the weather, and the hazards along the way.
It's hard to imagine this trip isn't it? Yet, every year
millions of monarchs make this migration making the monarch
one of the world's most amazing insects."
