Lifestrands, a provider of quality
life science products, supports teachers in their efforts to provide
authentic science experiences for students. We realize the key
role inquiry plays in learning and are dedicated to inspiring
children to think as scientists as they investigate the world
around them.
Lifestrands was founded in 2001 by
elementary science teacher Leah McDowell Spink and environmental
educator and illustrator Ba Rea. Our initial project supports
the use of the monarch butterfly lifecycle and migration as a
tool to introduce scientific inquiry.
